In order to offer the best hosted applications in the industry, Host 17 uses a combination of hand picked commercial and open source applications. Host 17 realizes that although many times open source software is also free of cost, its existance is made possible by the hard work of many individuals who have graciously donated their time and energy in hopes that their contribution can help others. As Host 17 derives a significant portion of its application hosting revenue from the use open source software, we support the software offered in our products by donating a percentage of our fees to selected projects or by purchasing supplemental products from their parent commercial organizations.
